Does application size matter in Play store ranking?

Before few years, the size of the application did matter. Those were the days when people had devices with low storage capacity. Back then, storage was the problem for developers for application development.

However, innovation has made the capacity higher. Users want to get that they love; ignoring the application size if it found to be useful for them. Now games and applications bigger in size are also downloaded and are used. There has been remarkable change in RAM and ROM  has it's role for this massive change.

Yes, size does matter in Play store ranking if the application is not unique in nature of users are to be informed about the product where there are lot's of competing applications of similar category.
