Does the icon of the application matter for users?

Individuals have different taste and have a unique positioning for every decision. However, reminding a thing time to time will eventually image it in the mind. It is the human nature that they like what they have seen. 

 Preferably, the application icon must be the ones users find in their daily life. Unique products have to have lots of advertisement otherwise, it should have a unique taste to the users do that they keep luring towards it. Let's suppose if we make an application or a game that has an icon of a character of a popular movie, drama or anime. Then it is obvious that people will download it and use it.

Reasons why application icons matters are:-
  • Appealing to human instinct.
  • Familiar to users.
  • Icon should give information abou the application itself.
