What to do before runing a wordpress site?

Before jumping directly to the WordPress section you must know which is the correct site to go for downloading WordPress. Most of us get confused with the WordPress site of .org with .com site. The .com site of WordPress has pricing and plans but the .org site doesn't have as it is open source.
The first thing to do is to know the system requirements to install WordPress and get them ready.
If your PC is windows then go with WAMP, LAMP for Linux, XAMP for a multi-platform web server.
The database will be controlled by MySQL 5.0 + or other versions of it.

The XAMP will convert your PC into a local server which you can get through the web server as localhost or you can check your IP address of your PC and search it in your webserver. With the webserver being ready all you have to do is to place WordPress in the server under the file name docs.
